Gamze Seckin

Gamze is a self-taught Turkish-American artist living in Washington. Born in Turkey in 1969, Gamze moved to the US as a Fulbright Scholar and completed her PhD in Computer Engineering in Arizona. She spent more than 25 years working in the wireless technology industry. While working full time and raising two kids, she found peace and joy in playing with colors. Her chronic depression has shaped who she is as an artist, mainly a modern figurative expressionist trying to capture universal thoughts and feelings in her simple portraits. Gamze's art works have been exhibited in Seattle, New York, Paris, Madrid, Milan and Istanbul.
